Oh boy, I am already getting excited for our 2018 breeding/foaling season and the 2019 foaling season!! This will be Legacy & Diggers first foals and we are using one outside stallion that is a son of Woolly Mammoth! He will be paired up with two of our mares. I will release his name after the mares are confirmed in foal. We will have a really diverse foal crop for 2019, all goes right we will have 9 foals!! Our 2020 crop we will have foals on the ground by MasterMind and Porter. Yep, I have goose bumps LOL.

Health care for the Gypsy horse...

One thing I don't think breeders do enough is talk about all the care that goes into these beauties. I am currently working on a page for this site that will explain or have a link for the information. There are quite a few things that are overlooked and ignored where other things are over scrutinized. So please get facts before jumping to any conclusion. Seek a vet to diagnose a problem, not the internet.
I do not ever bat an eye at nutrition costs. Feeding ALL of our horses properly is very expensive and I am proud of the feed program we have.
Not only is feed extremely important, but so is ample turnout. We do not confine any of our horses and they all get ample turnout time everyday. In the summer and fall, they live out on pasture 24/7.
Well, it's off to lunch with Jack to talk about expansion of our ranch, cheers!

Choices....

Wearing the breeder hat sure has changed how I word things. I have sold Joyful, I said I would never sell Joyful. She was born into this world with a birth defect and I was told to put her down. I found a godsend at WSU that was able to fix Joyful and give her a normal life. You would never know. I took her up to WSU yesterday for a checkup to make sure she was a 100% sound in every way. She is:) I had no doubts. But I said I would never sell her, but that is not the case. Joyful is outa our fab mare Downs Pride and one of my top 5 favorite stallions Streetfighter. Joyful is beautiful, sweet head, great feather, and her best attribute, her amazing temperament. That is why I have chosen to sell her. She wants her people to shower her with attention 24/7. With having 16 horses, that's not an option, so I found Joyful the most amazing family, she will be with her 1/2 sister Dream and will have kids to shower her with love. This fills my heart with so much joy and love, it is what I had to do for Joyful:) These are hard choices, but I have to do whats best for our horses, and our program. Joyful is such a love, I want her to have more in life other than being a broodmare. When you find the right fit, you can't say no:)
