What is a Gypsy you say??

Picture

Tradition

The Romany culture have been raising and using these stunning Cob's for a hundred years and originally know as a Traditional Heavy Cob and originated in Ireland.

Work

A Gypsy will not bat an eye at a long days work. Pulling is what their roots are and can work and pull a load for up to 20 miles a day.

Versatility

Nowadays, Gypsies are used from dressage, jumping, to trail. and anything else you can think of along with making the perfect loyal family horse.

Gelding Rebate Program

What is a Gelding Rebate?! It is sometimes hard to tell if a colt is going to turn out to be the stallion of your dreams. Things could happen and one chooses to geld before breeding. In this case we will refund up to $2500 with proof of castration!! There are not enough amazing geldings out there let alone stallion quality geldings. So geld away!!

Why do we register with GHRA??

All of the Gypsy registries have their issues. We feel that the TGCA & GHRA are sticking with the values of the breed standard that it has been bred for by Romani culture.  They are also easy to work with and don't require some of the hoops the GVHS requires which are not to better the breed standard. We do not get evaluations on our stock, being required to (by GVHS) register them is just silly considering the trained evaluators have not even been taught first hand the qualities that the Romani desire in their stock. The GVHS has backed certain "breeder(s)" as the "best" breeders in the U.S. which is completely unethical and was against the code of ethics till the GVHS changed the code of ethics to suite their agenda. That being said, we support the TGCA and the GHRA who put the betterment of the breed first.
